John W. Barr FLPRITE District Transportation Achievement Award
The FLPRITE District Transportation Achievement Award was created in 1997 to recognize, on a non-annual basis, significant and outstanding achievements by an organization; including government agencies, educational institutions, consulting firms, that demonstrate advancements of the Transportation Engineering and Planning profession. In 1999, the Board of Directors voted to rename the award in honor of John W. Barr for his outstanding contributions and distinguished service to transportation engineering and planning. In 2020, the award was renamed with the new District name.

The FLPRITE Rising Star of the Year Award was established in 1995 to recognize, on a non-annual basis, outstanding and active contributions to the FLPRITE District and to the transportation profession by members under the age of 35. The recipient of this award must be FLPRITE District active member and have demonstrated advancements in the transportation profession through leadership, administration, practical applications of engineering techniques or principles, training, or research and development. The award was renamed in honor of the late Robert L. Hill, Jr., who served as Florida Section ITE President in 1997 and was an excellent role model for younger transportation professionals. In 2020, the award was elevated to a FLPRITE District award.

Nathan H. "Nat" Rambo FLPRITE District Fellowship Award
The FLPRITE District's Fellowship Award, established in 1996, is named for Nathan H. "Nat" Rambo in recognition of his lasting distinguished participation in the activities of the District and his outstanding contribution to the fellowship and camaraderie among its members. Nat was a native of Philadelphia, graduating from the Williamson School of Technology in Philadelphia before working with the Tampa Public Utility Electric Company. In 1950 Governor Fuller Warren appointed him to head up the Florida Citizens Safety Council, which later became the Governor's Highway Safety Council. The FLPRITE District presents the Nathan H. Rambo Fellowship Award on a non-annual basis to a member who has demonstrated an outstanding level of effort to foster good professional relationships among the District’s membership.

Sherwood H. "Woody" Hiller FLPRITE District Distinguished Service Award
The FLPRITE District's Distinguished Service Award, established in 1976, is named for Sherwood H. "Woody" Hiller (1923-1991). Woody is best remembered as a pioneer of new technology and innovation in the transportation field. He joined the Institute in 1956 and was a founder of the Florida Section, becoming its 5th President in 1964. Among his accomplishments, he chaired a National Committee on YIELD signs, authored Florida's Right Turn on Red legislation, pioneered computerized signal systems in Florida, and was responsible for design and implementation of real time computerized control systems. The District presents the Sherwood H. Hiller Distinguished Service Award on a non-annual basis to individuals who have displayed pioneering vision, innovation, and dedication to the District above and beyond standard membership participation. This is the highest honor for distinguished service that can be conferred to a FLPRITE member.

Pete Yauch FLPRITE District Student Volunteer of the Year Award
The FLPRITE Student Volunteer of the Year Award was established in 2023 to recognize, on a non-annual basis, outstanding contributions to the FLPRITE District and to the ITE student chapters by a student member enrolled in a FLPRITE University. The recipient of this award must be a FLPRITE District active student member and have demonstrated dedication to the FLPRITE District’s activities as well as their student chapter and other student activities. The award was named in honor of Pete Yauch who was awarded the Burton W. Marsh Distinguished Service Award by ITE in 2021 and has served as Florida Section ITE President, FLPRITE District (formerly District 10) International Director, and FLPRITE District Administrator for his continued contributions to promoting the transportation profession and mentoring the next generation of professionals and leaders.

William R. McGrath FLPRITE District Transportation Scholarship
The FLPRITE District annually awards the William R. McGrath Transportation Scholarship to further the educational pursuits of an outstanding student. Bill was continually active with ITE locally and at International levels. A few of Bill's outstanding accomplishments with ITE including ITE International President (1973), ITE Burton Marsh Award for distinguished service (1980), and ITE Theodore Matson Memorial Award for outstanding achievement in transportation engineering (1996). Bill passed away in 1999 at the age of 76. Bill and his wife Joyce had 11 children, plus 11 additional foster children. In 2020, the FLPRITE Board voted to rename with the new District name.

Sherwood H. "Woody" Hiller FLPRITE District Distinguished Service Award
The FLPRITE District's Distinguished Service Award, established in 1976, is named for Sherwood H. "Woody" Hiller (1923-1991). Woody is best remembered as a pioneer of new technology and innovation in the transportation field. He joined the Institute in 1956 and was a founder of the Florida Section, becoming its 5th President in 1964. Among his accomplishments, he chaired a National Committee on YIELD signs, authored Florida's Right Turn on Red legislation, pioneered computerized signal systems in Florida, and was responsible for design and implementation of real time computerized control systems. The District presents the Sherwood H. Hiller Distinguished Service Award on a non-annual basis to individuals who have displayed pioneering vision, innovation, and dedication to the District above and beyond standard membership participation. This is the highest honor for distinguished service that can be conferred to a FLPRITE member.

Pete Yauch FLPRITE District Student Volunteer of the Year Award
The FLPRITE Student Volunteer of the Year Award was established in 2023 to recognize, on a non-annual basis, outstanding contributions to the FLPRITE District and to the ITE student chapters by a student member enrolled in a FLPRITE University. The recipient of this award must be a FLPRITE District active student member and have demonstrated dedication to the FLPRITE District’s activities as well as their student chapter and other student activities. The award was named in honor of Pete Yauch who was awarded the Burton W. Marsh Distinguished Service Award by ITE in 2021 and has served as Florida Section ITE President, FLPRITE District (formerly District 10) International Director, and FLPRITE District Administrator for his continued contributions to promoting the transportation profession and mentoring the next generation of professionals and leaders.

William R. McGrath FLPRITE District Transportation Scholarship
The FLPRITE District annually awards the William R. McGrath Transportation Scholarship to further the educational pursuits of an outstanding student. Bill was continually active with ITE locally and at International levels. A few of Bill's outstanding accomplishments with ITE including ITE International President (1973), ITE Burton Marsh Award for distinguished service (1980), and ITE Theodore Matson Memorial Award for outstanding achievement in transportation engineering (1996). Bill passed away in 1999 at the age of 76. Bill and his wife Joyce had 11 children, plus 11 additional foster children. In 2020, the FLPRITE Board voted to rename with the new District name.
